- The 2024 VW Tiguan starts at $28,505, so we expect the all-new Tiguan to start at around $30,000 USD.
- The All-New Tiguan is slated to be the most technologically advanced VW vehicle yet.
- A Plug-in Hybrid variant will also join the lineup, offering shoppers more variety and options to choose from.
The Pinnacle of Volkswagen Engineering: Introducing the All-New Tiguan
Since 2007, hundreds of thousands of Tiguans have found a new home in the garages of many happy Volkswagen drivers. A common sight in daily traffic and on long road trips, the 2024 VW Tiguan has a reputation for being a solidly built and reliable crossover SUV. However, the Tiguan is admittedly an entry-level option, one of the more budget choices in Volkswagen’s inventory of SUVs. With 2025 however, this all changes. The all-new Volkswagen Tiguan utilizes more technology than ever before, elevating driving dynamics, safety, and convenience to another level. Read on to discover what these technologies are, and how they’ll change things up for the all-new Tiguan.
New Sporty Design and Reduced Drag
The new Tiguan boasts a fresh and innovative design, emphasizing sportiness and aerodynamics. Notably, the vehicle’s front fascia exudes a dominant presence with its sleek LED headlights and a glass-accentuated horizontal bar. A horizontal LED bar in the rear, along with sporty wheel arches accentuates the Tiguan’s athletic and tech-focused design language as well.

But the new Tiguan’s design isn’t limited to aesthetics. The radiator grille vents are now smartly positioned on the bumper’s sides, dramatically improving airflow. Specifically from a drag coefficient of 0.33 to 0.28.
Additional exterior changes include:
- New HD Headlights: Newly developed for the 2025 VW Tiguan, IQ.Light HD Matrix headlights join the Tiguan’s arsenal of technologies. Smart and interactive, the new HD (High Definition) Matrix Headlights house 38,400 multipixel LEDs for the most optional convenience and safety.
All-New Interior Design
Like its exterior, the interior of the 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan enjoys a well-deserved makeover. The 15-inch infotainment screen sits cleanly over a sleek dashboard, and the new Digital cockpit is vividly and prominently displayed behind the steering wheel. Anfi-reflective coating has been applied to the Digital Cockpit, so no more squinting and adjusting your vision while driving.

A new rotary control is also included, making it significantly easier to control volume, lighting, and other vehicle settings while on the go.
Additional Interior Features highlights:
- New ergoActive Plus Seats: offering pneumatic 4-way power lumbar support and 10-chamber pressure managing features, the new Tiguan is just as, if not more sophisticated than many luxury vehicles. You can also program the ergoActive Plus Seats and customize seat heating and ventilation according to your needs.
- Increased Cargo Capacity: The 2025 Tiguan is slightly longer than the outgoing model by 3 centimeters. However, this slight increase translates into a much larger cargo capacity of 652 liters.
Increased Drive Options & Safety
The all-new Tiguan will utilize turbo diesel engines, turbo gasoline engines, mild hybrid turbo gasoline engines, and a plug-in hybrid option. Thomas Schäfer, VW CEO, has stated that the Plug-in hybrid will deliver a battery-only range of 62 miles and will also support DC fast charging. Impressive indeed.

Enhanced Safety and Driver Assist Features have been added, increasing overall safety and driver confidence.
Standard features will include:
- Side Assist (Lane Change System)
- Front Assist (Autonomous Emergency Braking)
- Lane Assist (Lane Keeping System)
Rear View (Rear View Camera System)
Dynamic Road Sign Display
Optional Features will include:
- Park Assist Pro
- Trailer Assist
Concluding Thoughts
The 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan is a serious contender in the compact SUV market. With up to 60 miles of battery range, the Tiguan presents a serious case for sustainability efficiency. Seriously, daily commutes aren’t even 60 miles for most people, so weekly refuelings will most likely be few and far between. If you’re looking for a new SUV with all the latest tech and convenience features, the 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan should honestly be at the top of your list.
